Top Selling Vinyl Records Sales at eBay - January 2010

Here is the month in review of the top selling ebay vinyl record sales, on a weekly basis, for January of 2010. First and foremost, a special thank you to Norm and Jane at http://ccdiscoveries/blogspot.com for putting together his interesting data.

A rare Rolling Stones promotional LP tops January's list of records sold on eBay, coming in at just under $9,200. Interestingly, a couple of 78rpm records fetched great prices with the 78rpm - WF "Buffalo Bill" Cody ("Sentiments on the Cuban Issue" Berliner 5014) selling for $6,200 and another 78 - Hattie Hart ("You Wouldn't Would You Papa" / "Won't You Be Kind To Me" Victor ") selling for an even $2,500.00. The Beatles make the list again with two entries the LP - The Beatles ("Please Please Me" Parlophone UK Gold Black label 1st Stereo) which sold for just under $5,600 and the ("The Collection" Japan Box Set) which sold for $2,195.

Several 45s made the list with starting with a copy of the 45rpm record by The Del-Tours ("Blind Girl" / "Sweet And Lovely" Starville) which sold for $4,075.00. Another single, by Andrew Brown ("You Made Me Suffer" / "Blue Monday" Brave) sold for around $5,600. Several more 45 rpms made the list including Conner Cagle ("Always Let Your Good Side Show" Sunshine) which sold for $2,500, Billy Byrd ("Silly Kind Of Love" / "Lost In The Crowd" Scream) which sold for $2,600 and a 45rpm by The Fingers ("Isolation" / "Wanna Go" " Work It Out" - Paradox) selling for $3,678.

Alternative rock supergroup Dead Weather (Alison Mosshart (of The Kills and Discount), Jack White (of The White Stripes and The Raconteurs), Dean Fertita (of Queens of the Stone Age) and Jack Lawrence (of The Raconteurs and The Greenhornes)come in at just under $3,200 with ("Hang You From The Heavens" / "Are Friends Electric?" Test Pressing Third Man Records Opening Night).
