With audio presented in DTS Dolby 5.1, these sets truly allow fans to fully experience and enjoy these brilliant artists and moments in music.  Let's learn more about these fantastic vinyl releases:

Muddy Waters And Rolling Stones 'Live At The Checkerboard Lounge'

On 22 November 1981, in the middle of their mammoth American tour, the Rolling Stones arrived in Chicago prior to playing 3 nights at the Rosemont Horizon. It didn’t take long before Mick Jagger, Keith Richards, Ronnie Wood and Ian Stewart were joining in on stage and later Buddy Guy and Lefty Dizz also played their part. It was a unique occasion that was fortunately captured on camera. The result is one of those magical nights caught on tape and recorded for posterity. Muddy, clearly in charge, invites the Stones one-by-one to join the party. Buddy tears off some jagged lightning riffs. Junior Wells blows some mean blues harmonica. The warmth of the vinyl sound is perfect for such classic soul as this. The songs fly by in a world of honest, unpretentious love-of-the-music. Mixed and mastered by Bob Clearmountain, this concert is a rare gem of rock 'n' roll and blues history.

The Rolling Stones Some Girls: Live In Texas '78 Vinyl Special Edition 2LP/DVD/CD.

The Rolling Stones 1978 tour of the USA in support of that year’s “Some Girls” album is considered by fans to be one of their very best. The tour followed immediately on the release of the “Some Girls” album and by the time the band arrived in Texas in mid-July the album had hit the No.1 spot on the US charts. The tour took a “back to basics” approach, with the band and their music very much at the forefront and little or no elaborate staging. Filmed at the Will Rogers Memorial Center in Fort Worth, Texas, on 18 July 1978, this concert is typical of the tour with the Rolling Stones delivering a raw, energetic performance in front of a crowd who are clearly loving the show. The end result steams right off the vinyl. Years later, Wood summed it up by saying, "it was straight-ahead garage rock, hardly a stage-set, no smoke, no big lights, like the Stones going punk."

Many of the tracks from “Some Girls” are included in the live set with a sprinkling of Stones classics from earlier albums. Originally shot on 16mm film, the footage has been carefully restored and the sound remixed and remastered by Bob Clearmountain from the original multitrack tapes.

Sum 41 - “All Killer No Filler” Restock On Blue Vinyl

Heads up, casualties of society: Sum 41‘s 2001 breakthrough full-length All Killer, No Filler is being restocked in our store on limited blue vinyl. Only 557 pieces will be available. Asbestos Records is handling the pressing and it’ll be back in our store early next week.

It would be a mistake to view Sum 41 as just another second-rate band cashing in on the early-'00s punk-pop boom, even if it did recruit Jerry Finn to produce All Killer No Filler. Just as Finn had done for both blink-182 and Green Day, he charges Sum 41's punk-pop with a razor-sharp edge, the sort of dynamic in-your-face sound that helps this music cross over to MTV and radio so well. Besides the notable production, a lot of credit should go to the band as well. Its songwriting is obviously more diverse here than it was a year earlier on its debut album, Half Hour of Power; for example, the group's rap and '80s metal influences rise to the surface more frequently here than on that first album and instill a fun sense of camp. "Fatlip" is perhaps the best example of how Sum 41 has made an effort to diversify the music with more than just power chords and melodic punk vocals.

Available for the first time ever on vinyl in North America, and contains the hit singles "Fat Lip" and "In Too Deep"
