DEAR JERRY: My memory may not be completely accurate about this, but I think I once heard on American Top 40 that the longest note held by a solo female is found in “Woman in Love,” by Barbra Streisand.

Of course that would include only Top 40 hits up to the time of that broadcast, most likely in the 1980s.

Is this true, and, if so, is Barbra still the note-holding champ?

DEAR TRUDY: If what you heard pertained only to No. 1 solo hits, then Barbra's “Woman in Love” wins in the take-a-deep-breath-and-hold-it category. This she does about 2:25 into the song, holding the word “all” for about 14 seconds.

What you may not know is that Streisand's world-class long notes are found on her albums, not singles. Eliminating 45s and chart hits from the equation opens the door for “On My Way to You,” from the 1988 “Till I Loved You” collection.

Barbra takes a quick breath, then delivers the final 25 seconds (“to you”) without pause or quiver, and just four seconds shy of the world record at the time (29.03).

The album's title track, “Till I Loved You,” a duet with her then-current love interest, Don Johnson, became a Top 25 hit.

If your parameters are widened by even one notch, anywhere from Top 2 to Top 100, a new long-winded champ would be crowned.

Include the entire Top 100 and the winner is Bill Withers. In “Lovely Day,” Bill repeatedly holds the word “day” for at least 10 seconds. But the lovely “day” at 3:05 runs for approximately 19 seconds.

“Lovely Day” reached No. 30 in early 1978.

As for the ladies, the nod goes to Donna Summer. Her 1979 “Dim All the Lights,” which peaked at No. 2 nationally, includes a note held for 16 seconds.

At 0:46, just as the tempo shifts into high gear, Donna sustains the word “up” until the 1:02 mark.

Ironically, the follow-up to Summer's summer hit, “Dim All the Lights,” is a duet with, of all people, Barbra Streisand: “No More Tears (Enough Is Enough).”

As one might expect from these two, this disco classic includes a long note. Streisand provides it with a 16-second “tear,” at 1:44 as the disco beat begins.

During live shows, many of the world's great vocalists carry a note to extremes not found on their recordings. I have watched Nana Mouskouri sustain notes for 40-plus seconds, and Whitney Houston has done the same during “I Will Always Love You.”

Now let's expand the competition to other continents. In 2005, Dean Frenkel, an Australian overtone singer, nearly doubled the previous record (29.03 seconds) for the longest continuous vocal note. On live TV, with Guinness World Record adjudicators on hand, Dean held on for 57 seconds.

But, as you know, records were made to be broken.

On September 8, 2009, in New York, Richard Fink IV shattered Frenkel's effort, with an official GWR time of 1:43.19. As of this writing, Fink's amazing record still stands.

Speaking of standing, the Guinness longest note rules require the person to stand. Apparently, one can sustain a note much longer if sitting.

Whether those aspiring for GWR notoriety choose to sing a note in their normal or falsetto register doesn't matter, as long as there is no break in the vocal. Richard Fink IV opted for falsetto, saying higher notes require less air.

The clock also stops if there is more than a half step (semitone) deviation from the chosen note, or an amplitude drop that exceeds 10 decibels.


IZ ZAT SO? Barbra Streisand may not be a Guinness World Record holder, but she has more than enough awards to fill the mantle and the walls. Foremost among those are: Grammy Awards (8); AGVA Georgie Awards (4); Academy Awards (2); Emmy Awards (4); Golden Globe Awards (7); People's Choice Awards (3); Gold Albums (51); Platinum Albums (30); Multi-Platinum albums (13); Gold Singles (3); and Platinum Singles (5).

Downtown Phoenix record stores have been battling a changing music industry, a recession and a dying culture of passionate music listeners during the past few years, but those that have been fortunate enough to hang on pinpoint vinyl records and exceptional customer service as major roles in business survival.

“We have been fortunate enough to build a strong customer base for vinyl LPs that has sustained us through not only the recession, but the through the difficulties the music industry is currently experiencing,” said co-owner TJ Jordan of Revolver Records, located on the southwest corner of Roosevelt and Second streets.

Anthrax Reveal Album Cover Art

The long-awaited 'Worship Music' is the first album in eight years from the legendary metal-heads Anthrax, who are celebrating their 30th anniversary this year. This record is the first to feature vocalist Joey Belladonna since the release of 'Persistence of Time' back in 1990.

Rolling Stones Poster Fetches $14,101

This vintage Rolling Stones Concert Poster fetched a winning bid of $14,101, in a seven day auction on eBay, on June 28, 2011.

According to the seller's listing, the 14x22 inch poster was received (by the seller) directly from the concerts promoter Martin Cohn, after it was removed from a display case at Memorial Auditorium in Louisville, Kentucky. The Louisville concert (November 14, 1964) was the 3rd stop of a tour, which also happened to be the Rolling Stones first US tour.

In 1939, Frank Sinatra made his recording debut with the Harry James band with the songs "Melancholy Mood" and "From the Bottom of My Heart."

In 1959, Paul Anka's "Lonely Boy" was the number one song on the Billboard Hot 100. Paul would also sing the song in the movie Girls Town, in which he starred with Mamie Van Doren and Mel Torme.

The Shirelles' "Dedicated To The One I Love" was released in 1959.

The Supremes made the studio recording of "Come See About Me" in 1964.

In 1967, Herman's Hermits started their North American tour in Calgary with opening act The Who.

Steppenwolf's "Born To Be Wild" was released in the US in 1968, where it will reach #2. A line from the song which includes the words "heavy metal thunder" is often credited with popularizing a new term for loud, guitar dominated music.

Also in 1968, Black Sabbath played their first gig at a small backstreet Blues club in Birmingham, England. The group would develop into one of the biggest Heavy Metal bands of the 1970's with such albums as "Paranoid", "Masters of Reality" and "Sabbath, Bloody Sabbath".

In 1969, "The Ballad of John and Yoko" by the Beatles proved to be too much for over 100 U.S. radio stations who banned the song over the lyrics "Christ, you know it ain't easy."



In 1973, the Everly Brothers broke up while on stage at Knott's Berry Farm in California.

Eric Clapton's version of Bob Marley's "I Shot The Sheriff" is released in America in 1974 where it will become his only US #1. Clapton would later say "I tried to ask him (Marley) what the song was all about, but couldn't understand much of his reply. I was just relieved that he liked what we had done

In 1978, Britain's BBC announces a ban on The Sex Pistols' latest single "No One Is Innocent", which features vocals performed by Ronnie Biggs, a British criminal notorious for his part in the Great Train Robbery of 1963. At the time of the recording, Biggs was living in Brazil, still wanted by the British authorities but immune from extradition. Despite the lack of radio play, the song would still reach number seven on the UK chart.

In 1985, the first Live Aid concerts were held at JFK Stadium in Philadelphia and at Wembley Stadium in London. Producer Bob Geldof headed the effort by attracting big name artists such as Paul McCartney, The Who, David Bowie, Mick Jagger, Queen, Tina Turner, The Cars, Bryan Adams, Hall and Oates, Lionel Richie and Phil Collins. The performances were shown live via satellite for 18 consecutive hours and helped raise millions of dollars for starving people in Ethiopia.

In 1987, representatives of fifty of America's largest record retailers are guests at Michael Jackson's home in Encino, California to preview his new album, "Bad". The LP, which includes the singles, "I Just Can't Stop Loving You", "Bad", "The Way You Make Me Feel", "Man in the Mirror" and "Dirty Diana", would go on to reach number one on the Billboard Hot 200 chart and sell over 30 million copies worldwide.

In 1992, Sony announces that it has accepted a $40 million buyout of George Michael's contract, following the singer's request. The company would retain the rights to his back catalog, a greatest hits album and would receive 3% of retail sales of his next two albums.

In 1996, Over 2,000 guitar players, including Chet Atkins and Jeff "Skunk" Baxter, set a new world record for the largest jam session ever when they played "Heartbreak Hotel" for 75 straight minutes at Nashville's Riverfront Park. The previous record was set in Vancouver, Canada on May 7th, 1994, when Randy Bachman led 1,322 mostly-amateur guitarists in a performance that lasted 68 minutes.

In 2000, in Japan, Yoko Ono filed a lawsuit against Teito Rapid Transit Authority for copyright infringement for their unauthorized use of a ticket showing the portrait of John Lennon.

In 2002, 250,000 people showed up for a free Fatboy Slim concert in Brighton, England, three-times original estimates.

In 2004, Arthur Kane, best known as the bassist for the pioneering Glam Punk band The New York Dolls, died of leukemia at the age of 55.

Grace Potter & The Nocturnals have released a vinyl edition of their 2010 self-titled album. The limited edition release will included an exclusive 7” single containing the band’s take on the Jefferson Airplane classic “White Rabbit” as well as a band favorite from the most recent album sessions “Fooling Myself.” In addition to the 7” single, the gatefold package contains a digital download to the entire album.

R.E.M. Begin Work on New Album (Already)

R.E.M. only released Collapse into Now in March, but the band are already in the studio working on the album’s follow-up, and vocalist Michael Stipe is posting updates on the sessions via iPhone.

We ThRee has just scheduled a reissue of 'Odyshape,' The Raincoats' 1981 sophomore album.

The reissue comes on 180-gram vinyl and was remastered from original masters. Sonic Youth's Kim Gordon wrote the liner notes for the reissue, which will be available on September 13.

The Devil Wears Prada Reveal 'Dead Throne' Cover Art

The Devil Wears Prada have recently released the cover art for their upcoming fourth studio album, 'Dead Throne.' The album is scheduled for release on September 13th via Ferret Records.

'Dead Throne' will be The Devil Wears Prada first full-length studio album to be released since 2009's 'With Roots Above and Branches Below.' Between full-length's the band did hold over fans by releasing 'Zombie' EP on August 24, 2010. That EP debuted at No. 10 on the Billboard 200 and number 2 on the Independent Albums chart, which is their highest Billboard ranking to date

Bush to Release First New Album in 10 Years

Bush have recently announced the details of their first album in 10 years. The band will release the LP 'The Sea Of Memories' on their own label Zuma Rock Records on September 13.

Tracks slated to appear on the album, their first since 2001's 'Golden State', include "The Sound Of Winter," "The Heart Of The Matter" and "All Night Doctors."

The band have also lined up comeback gigs for later in the summer, at New York's Bowery Ballroom (July 28) and Sunset Strip Music Festival in Los Angeles (August 20).

Dexys Midnight Runners Working On New Album

Dexys Midnight Runners have revealed that they are working on their first new album since 1985. It’s been over 25 years since the release of their last studio LP 'Don’t Stand Me Down', but the band – who are now known simply as Dexys – confirmed on Twitter.com/dexysofficial that they had been rehearsing in the studio and hoped to release the new album in 2012.

Patti Smith Set To Release 'Greatest Hits' LP 'Outside Society'

Patti Smith is scheduled to release a new 'Greatest Hits' compilation called 'Outside Society' on September 12.

The 18-song LP will span Smith's entire body of work, from her 1975 debut all the way to her cover of Nirvana's "Smells Like Teen Spirit" in 2007. The special package will also feature brief recollections of each song written by Smith herself.

Rob Grill, the bass player and lead singer on most of the hits of the Grass Roots, passed away on Monday morning at the age of 67. Grill fell about four weeks ago and has been battling a subdural hematoma.

Yoko Ono Threatens To Sue Pub

Yoko Ono has allegedly threatened to sue the owner of a Scottish bar which is dedicated to her late husband John Lennon.

The singer’s lawyers have sent a legal letter to Mike Craig from Dundee, Scotland, that accuses him of copyright infringement.

However, Craig claims to have spent thousands of pounds on Beatles memorabilia for his pub, which is called 'Lennon’s Bar.' But, the letter from Ono’s lawyers is demanding that he removes all the memorabilia and changes the venue’s name within 14 days.

He said: "It’s ridiculous. The pub’s been called Lennon’s for about five years, but the signs will be removed this week."

In 1954, 19-year-old Elvis Presley quit his day job as a truck driver for the Crown Electric Company and signed a recording contract with Sun Records. He also inked a one year, personal management deal with Scotty Moore, who would receive 10% of all earnings from Presley's live appearances.

In 1957, Alan Freed's show The Big Beat debuts on ABC-TV with guests The Everly Brothers, Frankie Lymon, Buddy Knox and Connie Francis. The show was later canceled after an episode in which Frankie Lymon was seen dancing with a white girl, which reportedly offended the management of ABC's local affiliates in the southern states.

In 1962, the Rolling Stones played their first concert at the Marquee club in London. Their line-up consisted of lead vocalist Mick Jagger, guitarists Keith Richards and Brian Jones, Dick Taylor on bass, pianist Ian Stewart and Mick Avory, later of the Kinks, on drums. Avory and Taylor would be replaced by Tony Chapman on drums and Bill Wyman on bass. Chapman didn't work out and drummer Charlie Watts completed the Stones' line-up in January 1963.

In 1964, the Beatles appeared at the Hippodrome Theatre in Brighton with The Fourmost and the Shubdubs, whose drummer, Jimmy Nicol, would later fill in for an ill Ringo Starr on The Beatles' world tour. On the way to the gig, George Harrison was involved in a minor crash in his brand new E-Type Jaguar. Pedestrians collected bits of broken glass as souvenirs.

In 1965, the Beach Boys record "Sloop John B", a 1927 Folk song that featured rhythm guitarist Al Jardine on lead vocal. The record would climb to number three in May, 1966.



In 1968, the Beatles were in the recording studio (Studio Two, EMI Studios, London). "Don't Pass Me By" is brought to near-completion. Overdubs include bass, piano, and violin (played by Jack Fallon). Fallon was also an agent, and he had booked the Beatles for a performance in Stroud on March 31, 1962. A second recording, begun at midnight, sees John Lennon overdub another lead guitar part onto "Revolution" (the faster version released on the flip side of the "Hey Jude" single). Paul McCartney adds another bass part to the song.

In 1969, after being released just three weeks earlier, the futuristic ballad "In The Year 2525" was Billboard's number one song. After getting a lot of requests to sing the song that they included in their live act, Denny Zager and Rick Evans had invested just $500 to press 1000 copies of the tune. After a Texas radio station added it their play list, RCA signed the duo, but the record would prove to be their only US chart entry. It did however stay at #1 in the US for 6 weeks, which was longer than any other song that year and earned it the distinction of #1 record of the year 1969

Blind Faith made their live U.S. debut at Madison Square Garden in 1969.

Janis Joplin played her first show with the Full Tilt Boogie Band in Louisville, KY in 1970.

In 1971, the New Seekers re-record a song they did as a commercial for Coca-Cola last year, re-naming it from "I'd Like To Buy The World A Coke" to "I'd Like To Teach The World To Sing". The effort would reach #7 on the Billboard chart.

In 1975, K.C. and The Sunshine Band make their US Pop chart debut with "Get Down Tonight". It's the first of four singles by the group to make it to Billboard's number one spot.

In 1979, American singer-songwriter Minnie Riperton died of cancer. She was 31. The Stevie Wonder-produced song “Loving You” gave Minnie a #1 hit in the States in 1975. Previously, she had worked at Chess records, singing backup for various artists including Etta James, Bo Diddley, Chuck Berry and Muddy Waters.

Also in 1979, Chicago disc jockey Steve Dahl held the infamous Disco Demolition in between games of a baseball doubleheader at Comiskey Park in Chicago. Dahl burned Disco records brought by fans who received discount admission. Some of those fans decided to start their own fires and a mini-riot ensued, forcing the White Sox to forfeit the second game.

In 1988, Michael Jackson went to the U.K. for his first ever live shows in Britain. Over eight nights, he performed for 794,000 people.


In 2000, A statue erected in the memory of John Lennon is unveiled in London's Trafalgar Square. The sculpture features a revolver with a knotted barrel created by Swedish artist Carl Fredrik Reutersward.

The album is available on CD, MP3, vinyl LP, and in a CD-LP-DVD box set.

Blast from past: LPs make a comeback

Mumbai, July 10 (IANS) This is how your grandparents listened to their music. In this age of itunes, ipods, DVDs and downloadable music, granny’s LP is making a surprising comeback to music stores.

They may not be a rage, but LPs – or simply long-playing records on vinyl – have a sizeable fan following in music aficionados, collectors and serious audiophiles.

‘There were two reasons for getting back vinyls — making music available on Saregama across all available platforms and reviving this analog format of music, which still appeals to serious audiophiles and connoisseurs,’ Adarsh Gupta, business head of music company Saregama India Ltd., told IANS.

Apart from Saregama, T-series, EMI and Sony Music have also started releasing LPs to bring alive the era of the gramophone.

‘Saregama’s LPs are manufactured in Germany, on 12 inch discs of 180 grams of lacquer. And the audio from the old masters is digitally cleaned and bettered before cutting the LP mother shells. It is a perfect recipe for a wonderful musical session to re-live the glorious past. We are also selling LP players manufactured by Lenco, Netherlands,’ Gupta said.

Saregama is primarily releasing old Hindi film soundtracks in this format and also some titles from other genres like Tamil, Bangla and classical music.

Sebastian Bach Reveals New Album Cover

Sebastian Bach has revealed his cover art for his upcoming album 'Kicking & Screaming." The first single will be the title track and is scheduled to be released mid-August.

KICKING & SCREAMING will be released on September 27th via Frontiers Records in North America and September 23rd in Europe and is produced by Bob Marlette (Black Sabbath, Shinedown, Atreyu, Filter). The album will be available in three separate configurations: jewel box CD, deluxe digipak with bonus track and bonus DVD and double LP gatefold vinyl. Former Motörhead Guitarist Dies At 61

Wurzel, former guitarist for British heavy metal band Motörhead, died on Saturday (July 9) at the age of 61 (reportedly from heart failure).

The guitarist, whose real name was Michael Burston, joined the band in 1984 and first appeared on the band’s 1984 No Remorse album. He remained the band’s main guitarist until ‘Sacrifice’ in 1995 when he left after recording the record, but before heading out on the road.

Burston gained his nickname during his time in the British army because of his supposed resemblance to the children’s character Worzel Gummidge - a scarecrow with a turnip for a head.

Burston joined the band in 1984 and performed on the following albums:

Van Halen World Tour to Start in November?

The latest in the long-running “what’s going on with Van Halen?” saga suggests the band will release their new album in time for a world tour, which should kick off in November.

According to a trusted source close to the band, MelodicRock.com reported the album is still not finished, but a single is in the mixing stage. That Metal Show’s Eddie Trunk recently reported a rumor that the single would be released on July 4, but it wasn’t to be.

Tesla Celebrate With New Album

To help celebrate the band's 25th anniversary with their fans, Tesla are releasing 'Twisted Wires and The Acoustic Sessions' on July 12th. (their follow-up to 2008's Forever More). As a salute to their fans, the group will include two new songs.

The album will feature 6 tracks that were recorded back in 2005 at bassist Brian Wheat's J STREET RECORDERS studio (which are the last recordings with original member Tommy Skeoch) and 6 newly recorded tracks which include acoustic remakes of songs from their entire catalog and two brand new songs called "Second Street" and "Better Off Without You."

The band has sold more than 14 million albums over the past 25 years.

ValCom Signs Platters Distribution Deal With Universal

ValCom, Inc. (VLCO.PK) announced today that it has started production on the first of many albums that will be distributed commercially through multiple sources including Universal Music Distribution.

The Platters Golden Anniversary album will feature digitally re-mastered cuts of classic Platters songs including Only You, Smoke Gets in Your Eyes, and The Great Pretender. The Album will also feature new, original recordings with Platter's lead singer Sonny Turner and two surprise Top 40 recording artists.

The project will be produced by recording industry veterans Joel Wertman, Vince Vellardita, and Tim Harrington. Wertman is credited with discovering multiple music artists including No Doubt, The Goo Goo Dolls, and Bush. Dean Martin recorded his first four songs in 1946.

In 1951, Alan Freed debuts his Moondog Rock 'n' Roll Party on WJW radio in Cleveland, where he plays mostly R&B tunes.

Joan Baez made her first recording in 1959. It was a duet with Bob Gibson which was recorded live at the Newport Folk Festival.

In 1960, the novelty song "Alley-Oop" sat at the top of Billboard's chart, credited to a then fictitious group called The Hollywood Argyles. The song was actually sung by Gary Paxton, who had been the latter half of Skip and Flip and was recorded after he had been advised that he was still under contract to Brent Records. Gary made up the group's name and then had to put a band together when the song became a hit. In the UK, the record reached #24. This was written by the Country songwriter Dallas Frazier, who recorded the song in 1966 and released it on his album Elvira (Columbia 2552).

In 1964, the Supremes' "Where Did Our Love Go?" was released and entered the Hot 100. It stayed on the chart for 14 weeks and became the group's first number one hit next August.

Kenny Rogers formed The First Edition in 1967. Rogers had left the New Christy Minstrels.

In 1969, David Bowie's single, "Space Oddity" was released to coincide with the first lunar landing by Apollo 11 on July 20th. The song would rise to #5 in the UK but would not become a hit in the US until it was re-released in 1973 when it would reach #15.

Also in 1969, the Rolling Stones' "Honky Tonk Women" was released. The band started recording the tune as a Country song based on Hank Williams' "Honky Tonk Blues", but found that it made a better Rocker.

The Who's "Summertime Blues" was released in 1970.

In 1970, Three Dog Night's version of Randy Newman's "Mama Told Me Not To Come" sat at the top of the Billboard Hot 100 and the Cashbox Best Sellers Chart. It was a song that took singer Cory Wells over two years to convince the rest of the band to record. It reached #3 in the UK.



Also in 1970, the soundtrack to the 1969 Woodstock concert becomes the first triple-disc album to top the Billboard chart.

Neil Young's concert film, "Rust Never Sleeps," debuted at the Bruin Theatre in Westwood, CA in 1979. The album of the same name was released simultaneously.

In 1971, Bruce Springsteen opened for Humble Pie at the now demolished Sunshine In at Asbury Park in New Jersey. After the show an impressed Peter Frampton from Humble Pie told Springsteen and the band he'd like to have them open for them on a national basis. Deep Purple To Reissues First Three Albums Along With Bonus Material

Eagle Rock Entertainment is scheduled to reissue the first three Deep Purple albums, 'Shades Of Deep Purple,' 'The Book Of Taliesyn' and their 1969 eponymous third album on July 26, 2011. All three re-releases will also include bonus tracks of b-sides, studio outtakes and BBC jams.

Macabre To Release 12" Version Of New Album 

Murder Metal vets Macabre are set to self-release a 12" picture disc LP version of their recent album, 'Grim Scary Tales,' via Decomposed Records. Thie vinyl picture disc bears the bold, Scott Jackson-crafted front cover art to the album on the A-side, and a portrait of the Macabre trio, armed for battle on the B-side.

First Four Ramones Albums Reissued On Vinyl

Rhino Records are adding to the frenzy with plans to reissue the group’s first four LPs later this month on 180-gram audiophile vinyl (via SlicingUpEyeballs.com).

Set for release on July 19th, Ramones (1976), Leave Home (1977), Rocket to Russia (1977), and Road to Ruin (1978) will each be available for $17.98. According to Rhino, the four releases “come in accurate representations of the original packaging” manufactured “using lacquers cut from the original analog masters by Chris Bellman at Bernie Grundman Mastering.” For fans willing to pay $24.98, they get to receive a bonus reproduction 7″ featuring that album’s B-side pressed on blue vinyl. Those bonus records, though, are limited to just 500 copies per album.

Leave Home will also have its original tracklist reinstated as “Carbona Not Glue” will once again be track five after it was replaced by the B-side “Babysitter” and eventually “Sheena is a Punk Rocker”.

In 1955, a landmark in music history was established on July 9th, when Bill Haley's "Rock Around The Clock" reaches number one on the Billboard chart. Many music historians will eventually acknowledge the song as a dividing line, separating Rock and Roll from everything that preceded it.

In 1955, Pat Boone releases his cover version of Fats Domino's "Ain't That A Shame". Domino's recording reached number ten in the US while Boone's version went all the way to number one.

Also in 1955, Les Paul and Mary Ford enter the Billboard charts with "Hummingbird", which will reach #7 and become the first of their five Pop chart entries.

In 1956, Dick Clark made his debut as host of Bandstand on Philadelphia TV station WFIL. He took over from Bob Horn, who had been charged with driving while intoxicated during a highly-publicized police crackdown. The show's name would be changed to American Bandstand when it went to ABC-TV in 1957. Clark relinquished his hosting duties in 1989 to 26 year-old David Hirsch, but the program died within a matter of months. Still, it had been on the air for 37 years - a record for a television variety show.

In 1956, after the June 30th trouble at Asbury Park, Bill Haley and His Comets are denied permission to play at the Roosevelt Stadium in Jersey City. A city ordnance was passed that read: "Rock and roll music encouraged juvenile delinquency and inspired young females in lewd bathing suits to perform obscene dances on the city's beaches."

In 1957, Bobby Helms records "My Special Angel", which will become his first US Top 40 hit when it reaches #7 later in the year.
