Vinyl Record News & Music Notes

The Unicorns 'Who Will Cut Our Hair When We’re Gone?' Remastered Pre-Order Available

WWCOHWWG? was the third and final full- length album by the Canadian indie rock act The Unicorns, and was originally released in 2003. The album gained wide and immediate praise, with broad critical and commercial acclaim from outlets as diverse at NME, Pitchfork and The Village Voice. This cult affection is probably best summarized in the album’s involvement as the premise for the CBS sitcom How I Met Your Mother? i.e., the basis for the lead character falling in love with said “mother” being their mutual love of the obscure Who Will Cut Our Hair…?.

The Unicorns disbanded shortly after the release of WWCOHWWG?, with founding member Nick Thorborn going on to create the band Islands, and perform in various projects. The Arcade Fire shows are the first time The Unicorns will be performing in over a decade.

GRMLN 'Soon Away' (Colored Vinyl) PRE-ORDER

Comes on blue vinyl and includes a download code! With Soon Away, GRMLN veers from the pop-punk-rooted road the band started on with last year’s Empire. It’s an aggressive album, darker and heavier than what’s come before. While it carries these characteristics, there is also a certain peace to Soon Away, thanks to songwriter Yoodoo Park’s personal growth.

The album grapples with letting go and getting used to goodbyes. “Find a way to be wanted and here for someone else/ Break away from the notion, the poison in my head,” Park sings on the cathartic “Faux.” The singer-guitarist sees the constant changes of life allowing people to embrace the true nature of living. The teachings of Krishna were an inspiration to Park while writing the record and it’s a force that helped define Park’s perspective in these songs. Still, there’s an intensity to these guitar-driven tracks. “Go, but you're breaking without me/ When days can crawl around/ To waste myself away,” Park sings on opener “Jaded,” which is built around one of GRMLN’s catchiest riffs.

I Am King 'Code Orange Kids'

Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania's Code Orange Kids remind us off our own embryonic days in the aggressive music scene. They do things their way, creatively cutting their own path through it all. Unconcerned with the direction of other artists, their brand of gritty hardcore/punk is simply refreshing. Merging cryptic melody, dirty hardcore power, and intense dirge into their own uniquely inspired sound.

East River Pipe 'The Gasoline Age' Reissued On Vinyl

On October 7, we will celebrate our long relationship with East River Pipe by releasing their critically acclaimed fourth album The Gasoline Age on vinyl.

Saluted by Rolling Stone as “the most gifted of the new loners,” F.M. Cornog, aka East River Pipe, originally released The Gasoline Age in 1999. Named Album of the Year by both The New York Times and England’s The Independent, The Gasoline Age was inspired in large part by nighttime drives on New Jersey’s seedy Route 22. Automobile imagery appears throughout the album: cybercars, stolen cars, pimpmobiles. The cars all seem to carry with them a romanticism that emphasizes even further Cornog’s gift of creating a lyrical mood without tying his flights of fancy down to specifics.

The Gasoline Age explores the suburban landscape and turnpike stretches outside Cornog’s door and calmly runs down bleak facts over the gentle pulse and chorused strums Cornog has been perfecting since his early singles. Some of the songs are built on merely six concise lines of clear-eyed warning, though sometimes (“Hell Is an Open Door”) he sounds like he might actually be looking forward to the darkness on the horizon. On other tracks, like the ironically titled “Party Drive,” it sounds as though Cornog is barely going to make it to the curb. But for the character in the song, going on that drive is the only thing that makes it seem like “we’re gonna be OK.”

The disconnect between the unsettling dead ends Cornog sings about and the peaceful swells of the keyboards and the glimmering guitars is what brings emotional weight to the entire album. One doesn’t get the sense that a whole lot has changed in the last 15 years for the characters inhabiting this world.

MEDESKI/SCOFIELD/MARTIN/WOOD - JUICE

Two funky forces of nature reunite on stage as Jazz guitar giant John Scofield joins the endlessly inventive organ trio Medeski, Martin & Wood for an incendiary evening of greasy grooves.

Keyboardist John Medeski, bassist Chris Wood and drummer Billy Martin came together in 1991 for gigs at New York's Village Gate and never looked back, touring relentlessly and issuing a succession of stimulating recordings that embraced Soul-Jazz, Bebop, Funk, R&B, DJ culture and the avantgarde, often at the same time.

A master improviser with a trademark distortion-tinged tone, Scofield cut his teeth with Chet Baker, Gerry Mulligan, Charles Mingus and Gary Burton before his work with Miles Davis catapulted him into the limelight in the 1980s. Since then, he's become universally known as one of the greatest figures in Jazz guitar history.

The blueprint for their 2014 album Juice was found in a compilation of African-derived music put together by drummer Billy Martin and shared among the ensemble. "We all love music from Brazil, the Caribbean, and Latin America, and it has always been intertwined with jazz," explains Medeski. "We got together and started exploring that connection in our own way." "This is our version of different African-based forms," Scofield echoes. "Or, at least, that's what we started with…eventually we said, 'This is the outline, but we can do whatever the hell we want.'"
  • 180 gram audiophile vinyl
  • Gatefold sleeve
  • Brand new album!
  • Highly anticipated return to the studio of these groove masters
  • European tour coming up in 2014

SANTANA - CARAVANSERAI

Caravanserai is the fourth studio album by Santana released in October 1972. It marked a major turning point in Carlos Santana's career as it was a sharp departure from his critically acclaimed first three albums. Caravanserai reached number eight in the Billboard 200 chart and number six in the R&B Albums chart.

The sound contrasted greatly with Santana's trademark fusion of Salsa, Rock, and Jazz, and concentrated mostly on jazz-like instrumental passages. All but three tracks were instrumentals, and consequently the album yielded no hit singles. The album is the first among a series of Santana albums that were known for their increasing musical complexity, marking a move away from the popular rock format of the early Santana albums towards a more contemplative and experimental jazz sound.

It was the last Santana album to feature Gregg Rolie and Neal Schon, who went on to form Journey the following year.   180 gram audiophile vinyl

MILES DAVIS - MILES SMILES

The wonderful Post-Bop album Miles Smiles (1967) was recorded by Davis's second great quintet, which featured saxophonist Wayne Shorter, pianist Herbie Hancock, bassist Ron Carter, and drummer Tony Williams. The album showcases Davis' deeper exploration of modal performance with looser forms, tempos, and meters. Although it did not follow the conventions of Bop, the album did not follow the formlessness of Free Jazz.

Miles Smiles received critical acclaim upon its release, and was praised for its original compositions, the quintet's chemistry and playing, and Davis's phrasing. The album was a.o. called 'essential...one of the quintet's best albums' and cited "Footprints" and "Dolores" as 'all-time great jazz compositions'.

Miles Smiles is certain to remain an important part of the Davis discography, both for the trumpeter's persistent brilliance and for the lesson by Williams and Carter in how the functions — and the dynamic range — of the jazz rhythm section are being explored and changed.   180 gram audiophile vinyl

Ask Mr. Music by Jerry Osborne

FOR THE WEEK OF SEPTEMBER 8, 2014

DEAR JERRY: Many of the great lead singers of groups eventually left their groups to pursue a solo career.

Some, such as Linda Ronstadt of the Stone Poneys, achieved much greater success solo than as part of a group, but would she be in the Top 10? Others — Tony Williams of the Platters comes to mind — didn't do nearly as well on their own.

Finally, was there ever a song titled "Naomi"? My brother says there was.
— Naomi Willingham, Beaufort, S.C.

DEAR NAOMI: Let's deal with your namesake song first. Pianist extraordinaire Floyd Cramer's first single of 1964 was "Naomi" (RCA Victor 47-8325).

Primarily instrumental, Floyd throws in some occasional playful comments, including: "Naomi"; "where are you"; "there you are"; and "come on in."

Now on to our Top 10 singers whose solo adventures took them to heights far beyond their time in groups:

1. Michael Jackson
The Jackson 5 had eight Top 20 hits before Michael's first solo outing, "Got to Be There" (1971). After that there was a lot of overlapping of careers, but Michael was the biggest superstar of all the Jacksons, followed closely by sister Janet.

2. Rod Stewart
Rod recorded before and after Faces. "Maggie May" and "Reason to Believe," charted in 1971 a few months earlier than "(I Know) I'm Losing You," by Rod Stewart with Faces. With Stewart, Faces had two more hits: "Stay with Me" (1972) and "Cindy Incidentally" (1973). Meanwhile, his solo hits continued, about 60 of them, and most were big sellers.

3. George Michael
First couple of hits were by Wham!, then one as Wham! Featuring George Michael (1983-'84), but from 1985 to the end of the century it was one smash after another for George.

4. Kenny Rogers
After seven singles (1968-'69) as either the First Edition, or Kenny Rogers and the First Edition, he kicked off an enormously successful string of pop and country hits, but not always solo. He teamed with Dottie West; Kim Carnes; Sheena Easton; Dolly Parton; James Ingram; Allison Krauss; and Billy Dean.

5. Phil Collins
For Collins it was the best of both worlds. Genesis was hot from 1977 to '92, but Phil, whose solo hits ran from 1981 to '99, was even hotter. He didn't officially leave Genesis until 1996.

6. Linda Ronstadt
I'm pleased that the one example you picked is in the Top 10. The Stone Poneys had a huge hit in 1967 with "Different Drum," and a follow-up that didn't fare nearly as well. Linda then went solo with over 25 years of memorable hits, many remakes of 1950s and '60s classics: "You're No Good"; "When Will I Be Loved"; "Heat Wave"; Blue Bayou"; "It's So Easy"; "Ooh Baby Baby"; and "Hurt So Bad." All of these made the Top 10.

7. Dion DiMucci
As Dion and the Belmonts, this Bronx bunch had two great years (1958-'59), but when Dion left the trio in 1960 for a solo flight, his career really soared. From 1956 through 1965, there were only two years when Elvis was NOT the top male recording artist. One was 1959, when Elvis served in Germany all year, and Frankie Avalon moved to the top. The other was 1963, and No. 1 was Dion.

8. Lionel Richie
With Richie as their lead singer, the Commodores had a great run from 1974 to '82, with nearly all of their singles making both the pop and R&B charts. However, by going solo Lionel quickly outstripped what he accomplished with the Commodores — 12 consecutive Top 10s and five No. 1s.

9. Wilson Pickett
Pickett joined the Falcons in 1961, and the following year sang lead on their Top 10 R&B tune, "I Found a Love." As a soloist, he continually hit the pop and R&B charts for the next 11 years.

10. Eric Clapton
Along with Jack Bruce and Ginger Baker, Clapton formed Cream. As such, they had two very big hits in 1968, "Sunshine of Your Love" and "White Room," and two not so big ones, "Anyone for Tennis" and "Badge." In 1970, Eric's first solo hit, "After Midnight," began 20 years of memorable tunes, especially "I Shot the Sheriff"; "Lay Down Sally"; "Promises"; "I Can't Stand It"; "Tears in Heaven"; and "Change the World."

IZ ZAT SO? In order of overall success, these 15 groups saw one or more of their members go solo. But, unlike the above Top 10, none of these efforts equaled the accomplishments of their group. Not included are solo releases made while officially a member of the group, as with Mick Jagger (Rolling Stones) and Frankie Valli (4 Seasons):

1. Chicago (Peter Cetera had over a dozen hits)
2. Temptations (Both Eddie Kendricks and David Ruffin had numerous hits)
3. Supremes (Diana Ross had a spectacular solo career, ranking only slightly below the Supremes)
4. Miracles (Smokey Robinson's impressive solo sales were not too far behind those of the Miracles)
5. Platters (The quality of Tony Williams' solo recordings was on a par with his Platters period; however, the music scene in the early '60s had shifted from what was popular in the '50s.)
6. Earth, Wind & Fire (Maurice White had a couple of minor hits)
7. Eagles (Don Henley and Glenn Frey were the most successful, but several other ex-Eagles gave it a whirl)
8. Fleetwood Mac (Numerous members recorded solo, but Stevie Nicks, Bob Welch, and Lindsay Buckingham led the pack)
9. Drifters (Clyde McPhatter and Ben E. King were both very successful as solo artists, each having many hits)
10. Impressions (Curtis Mayfield did very well solo in the '70s, including two million-sellers, "Freddie's Dead" and "Superfly")

Robert Plant's New Album 'lullaby and... The Ceaseless Roar' Available On Vinyl From Nonesuch

Robert Plant’s new album, lullaby and… The Ceaseless Roar, will be released September 9 on Nonesuch/Warner Bros. Records. Produced by Plant, the album is his label debut and features 11 new recordings, nine of which are original songs written by Plant with his band, The Sensational Space Shifters—Justin Adams: bendirs, djembe, guitars, tehardant, background vocals; John Baggott: keyboards, loops, moog bass, piano, tabal, background vocals; Juldeh Camara: kologo, ritti, Fulani vocals; Billy Fuller: bass, drum programming, omnichord, upright bass; Dave Smith: drum set; and Liam “Skin” Tyson: banjo, guitar, background vocals.

lullaby and… The Ceaseless Roar is Plant’s first record since 2010’s Band of Joy, which followed 2007’s six-time Grammy Award–winning collaboration with Alison Krauss, Raising Sand. Justin Adams and John Baggott of The Sensational Space Shifters appeared on Plant’s 2002 release Dreamland, while all but Camara and Smith appeared on 2005’s Mighty Rearranger. The new-album line-up recently toured the world before recording lullaby and… The Ceaseless Roar at Helium Studios in Wiltshire and Real World Studios in Bath, UK. The track “Rainbow” was recorded in Contino Rooms in London. Tchad Blake mixed all but three tracks on the album.

“It’s really a celebratory record, powerful, gritty, African, Trance meets Zep,” Plant says. “The whole impetus of my life as a singer has to be driven by a good brotherhood. I am very lucky to work with The Sensational Space Shifters. They come from exciting areas of contemporary music…I have been around awhile and I ask myself, do I have anything to say? Is there a song still inside me? In my heart? I see life and what’s happening to me. Along the trail there are expectations, disappointments, happiness, questions and strong relationships,” Plant explains, “... and now I’m able to express my feelings through melody, power and trance; together in a kaleidoscope of sound, colour, and friendship.”

Soundtrack - Forrest Gump (3XLP) (Pre-Order)

To celebrate the 20th anniversary of the motion picture Forrest Gump, we're proud to announce the first ever North American vinyl pressing of the soundtrack. All 32-tracks have been placed across three vinyl LPs to ensure maximum audio-fidelity, in addition to vinyl mastering and lacquers by Kevin Gray, and platting at RTI. The album will be available on 180 Gram "All American" Red, White and Blue vinyl LPs, pressed at United Records in the USA. First pressings will be hand numbered and limited.

The 32-song soundtrack from the film was originally released on July 6, 1994. The soundtrack includes songs from Elvis Presley, Fleetwood Mac, Creedence Clearwater Revival, Aretha Franklin, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Three Dog Night, The Byrds, The Doors, The Mamas & the Papas, The Doobie Brothers, Simon & Garfunkel, Bob Seger, and Buffalo Springfield, among others. Music producer Joel Sill reflected on compiling the soundtrack: ''We wanted to have very recognizable material that would pinpoint time periods, yet we didn't want to interfere with what was happening cinematically.'' The two-disc album has a variety of music from the 1950s–1980s performed by American artists. According to Sill, this was due to Zemeckis' request, ''All the material in there is American. Bob (Zemeckis) felt strongly about it. He felt that Forrest wouldn't buy anything but American.''

Forrest Gump: The Soundtrack is one of the most successful movie soundtrack albums of all time. The album - like the film - instantly captured the heart of America, going into the top 10 of Billboard's Pop Album chart and shipping over 1 million units in its first few weeks of release. This timeless double album of American Classics has since been certified DIAMOND - selling over 6 million copies.

''The movie Forrest Gump is about time. A simple man's journey through complicated times. The coming-of-age of a generation and a country. And at the heart of the story is the music. Music that lives with us, always there to remind us of the people, the places, and the events of our time.'' - Robert Zemeckis & Eric Roth

Death - Symbolic (Pre-Order)

Like its predecessors, the album is progressive and technically advanced. It also has higher production values than previous albums, with considerably less static on its overall sound. It is notable that the average song length on this album is around five minutes, while it was around four minutes on Human and Individual Thought Patterns, perhaps due to slowed down song tempos closer to that of traditional death metal. It was also the first album to feature Kelly Conlon on bass. Chuck Schuldiner’s growl also became noticeably higher on this release, which continued with their next (and last) studio album The Sound of Perseverance and culminated with their cover of Judas Priest’s “Painkiller”.

The Monkees - THE MONKEES IN MONO (180 Gram Audiophile Vinyl/Limited Edition/5 LP Box Set)

In September 1966, Micky Dolenz, Davy Jones, Michael Nesmith and Peter Tork debuted as The Monkees on NBC’s new Fall season lineup of shows. Overnight success would happen in the form of a smash TV show, a #1 debut album The Monkees and a #1 hit single Last Train To Clarksville. The Monkees were now the face of young people everywhere and they were here to stay.

Friday Music is no stranger to the amazing recording career of The Monkees. As a tribute to the band, the music and the memories, we are very honored to announce the colossal audiophile vinyl box set The Monkees In Mono. Mastered for the first time for audiophile vinyl from the original Colgems Records monophonic tapes by Joe Reagoso (The Monkees), this super limited edition deluxe box set features their first five mono albums: The Monkees, More Of The Monkees, Headquarters, Pisces, Aquarius, Capricorn & Jones Ltd., and The Birds, The Bees & The Monkees, all in their restored individual stunning LP covers, housed in a beautiful full color sturdy box.

All your favorite hits are included like Last Train To Clarksville, I’m A Believer, Daydream Believer, Pleasant Valley Sunday, Valleri, I Wanna Be Free, (I’m Not Your) Stepping Stone, Randy Scouse Git and 53 more, 61 tracks total.

The Monkees & More of The Monkees were two of the most successful albums ever released in classic rock history. The mono mixes are terrific here as you will hear nuances and slightly different mixes than their stereo counterparts.

Headquarters will always be one of those “must haves in mono” and now you have it…. This album started the Summer Of Love in 1967 and was the last album before Sgt Pepper by the Beatles to be on the top of the charts, later The Monkees replaced the Beatles again in the top spot with Pieces, Aquarius…. Both Pisces, Aquarius, Capricorn & Jones Ltd. & The Birds, The Bees & The Monkees are two of the rarest mono albums from the band, as stereo was the format of choice by 1968 and mono albums were soon discontinued. We have now gone back to the Colgems mono tapes and have put these back in circulation on vinyl for the first time in 46 years!

A great way to celebrate the holidays this year for your favorite Monkees fans, The Monkees In Mono is in strictly limited edition and will become one of the most important overviews of this band ever released.

Exclusively from your friends at Friday Music!  This title will be released on October 7, 2014.

Johnny Cash - Johnny Cash Live At Town Hall Party 1958!

FIRST TIME ON VINYL—The birth of country cool! The Johnny Cash you hear on these two remarkable live per formances is not the venerable legend of today. This was the young, feral Cash, full of piss, vinegar and sly orneriness. Even to those who know every note, joke and guitar lick on Johnny Cash At Folsom Prison or San Quentin, hearing Cash in his prime, aided and abetted by the Tennessee Two, guitarist Luther Perkins and bassist Marshall Grant, is a revelation. These historic documents, sourced directly from the 1958 and 1959 kinescope reels, capture Cash in his most revolutionary days, laying the bedrock of all that was to come and—despite age and infirmities—continues today.

Vinyl Record News & Music Notes

from our friends at NewOnVinyl

SOUNDTRACK (OST) - GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY

Collector's Edition 2 disc GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY vinyl includes AWESOME MIX VOL. 1, the collection of songs featured in the film. Music plays a major role in GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY as the 1970s songs featured in the film are part of the storyline in a unique way. Explaining how the songs come to play in the story, director James Gunn says, 'One of the main story points in the movie is that Quill has this compilation tape (Awesome Mix #1) that he got from his mother before she died that she made for him. It was of songs that she loved, all songs from the 1970s, and that's the only thing he has left of his mother and that's the only thing he has left of his home on Earth. He uses that as a connection to his past and to the sadness that he feels of having left all that and lost all that.' As well as, the complete official original score from the film as composed by Tyler Bates.

From Marvel, the studio that brought you the global blockbuster franchises of Iron Man, Thor, Captain America and The Avengers, comes a new team the GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY. An action-packed, epic space adventure, Marvel's GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY expands the Marvel Cinematic Universe into the cosmos, where brash adventurer Peter Quill finds himself the object of an unrelenting bounty hunt after stealing a mysterious orb coveted by Ronan, a powerful villain with ambitions that threaten the entire universe. To evade the ever-persistent Ronan, Quill is forced into an uneasy truce with a quartet of disparate misfits Rocket, a gun-toting raccoon, Groot, a tree-like humanoid, the deadly and enigmatic Gamora and the revenge-driven Drax the Destroyer. But when Quill discovers the true power of the orb and the menace it poses to the cosmos, he must do his best to rally his ragtag rivals for a last, desperate stand with the galaxy's fate in the balance.

SOUNDTRACK (OST) - UTOPIA

One of the most critically acclaimed scores of 2013, UTOPIA SERIES 1’s soundtrack was described by The Arts Desk as "Cristobal Tapia de Veer's cunning, menacing music."

Coming out in September on DLP vinyl for the first time (and on limited yellow vinyl at that), the score features instruments ranging from a rare Chilean trutruka recorded in Borough tube station to the percussion sounds of a rhino turd from Zimbabwe! This one of the most eclectic and innovative TV scores in a long while and has been specially mastered for this vinyl release.

“This show. This music. Everything about is so odd and so perfect. The soundtrack to this show is quite honestly one of the best I've ever heard…” - Waterman Butterly (Top tracks of 2013 - UTOPIA OVERTURE - CRISTOBAL TAPIA DE VEER)

NICK DRAKE- PINK MOON

Pink Moon is the third and final studio album by the English folk musician Nick Drake, released in the UK by Island Records on 25 February 1972. It was the only one of Drake's studio albums to be released in North America during his lifetime: the only previous release there had been a 1971 compilation simply entitled Nick Drake featuring tracks from both his first two albums, which were not released in North America in their original forms until 1976.Pink Moon differs from Drake's previous albums in that it was recorded without a backing band, featuring just Drake on vocals, acoustic guitar and a brief piano riff overdubbed onto the title track.

Released two years before Drake's death in November 1974, at the age of twenty-six, the lyrical content of Pink Moon has often been attributed to Drake's ongoing battle with depression. The songs are shorter than on his previous albums, with a total album running time of just over twenty-eight minutes.

Pink Moon, like Drake's previous studio albums, did not sell well while he was still living but has since gained in critical acclaim and record sales. Stephen Holden, in a 1972 review for Rolling Stone magazine said, "The beauty of Drake's voice is its own justification. May it become familiar to us all.

Deerhoof 'La Isla Bonita' Pre-Order On Yellow Vinyl From PolyVinylRecords

Blame it on the Ramones. After Deerhoof finished recording demos for La Isla Bonita this past February, they began rehearsing for an upcoming tour. Halfway through a run-through of a long-time Deerhoof live favorite, their cover of the Ramones classic "Pinhead," someone offhandedly asked, "Why don't we ever write a song like this?" So Greg quickly dashed off a song on a scrap of paper, showed it to the band, and they recorded the breakneck stomper "Exit Only" in one take.

La Isla Bonita was recorded in guitarist Ed Rodriguez's basement. Situated next to a parking garage, it was perfect for making noise till the wee hours. They recorded live, DIY style, "a weeklong sleepover arguing over whether to try and sound like Joan Jett or Janet Jackson, cracking each other up, one guitarist whose name starts with J always putting too much red chile into the rations," says Greg. But more than that La Isla Bonita is about the eclectic worldwide community that has supported them.

You'll hear them pay musical tributes to their improbable list of heroes-turned-fans: David Bowie, Ric Ocasek, The Roots, Lou Reed, David Byrne, Sonic Youth, The Flaming Lips, Radiohead, Beck.   This is the glorious sound of four musicians owning their own hard-won and richly deserved legacy.

**Early Bird Edition - Limited to 500**

Joyful Noise Recordings Announces Debut EP from Ko

Ko is the pseudonym of Kristin Newborn: vocalist, guitarist, and downright badass. From the age of 18, Kristin was classically trained by a religious cult show choir. No foolin'. But as fucked up as that experience must have been, Kristin emerged victorious. A native of Indianapolis by way of Los Angeles, Kristin first began writing under the name Ko in the spring of 2012, after the demise of her first group Slothpop. Shortly thereafter she enlisted Todd Heaton to play percussion for the live shows and later recordings.

We are very pleased to introduce you to their first recorded material. Ko's debut EP contains 4 songs of intricate vocal looping, heartfelt purpose, and plenty of Danelectro wall-of-sound-fuzz to boot.

The EP is released on bronze-inside-clear 7" limited to 350 hand-numbered copies, and white vinyl 7"
