I am working with a private collection and have come across a particular "picture disc"
vinyl record that has me very curious of the value. Apparently, when played, it is believed to be
Hitler speaking on the record (obviously in German and the record itself has some German writing on it). Another fascinating element is that in the same plastic sleeve there is a picture of the
Beatles' "butcher block" album cover.

Now, the
Bealtes often referred to their relationship with
Capitol Records as "Hitler-like," so these two items were together for a reason and adds a certain
provenance (as well as who owned it) to the whole package. Anyone with any information or know anything about this record, I would appreciate your input.

I just bought that Hitler picture disc at a record show. The seller, who I have known for years told me that it is a 12" Lp reproduction of an original 78rpm picture disc issued by the Reich and it contains the audio content of several other Nazi era 78rpm picture discs. I don't believe it has any connection to the Beatles LP, it was probably just stored in the same plastic cover.
I would venture to guess that the Beatle picture disc might be there to disguise the fact that is contains Nazi propaganda and imagery which is outlawed in Germany.
