Vinyl For Vernon

The city of Nashville and its surrounding areas were severely affected by the recent storms and flooding. While United Record Pressing was not directly affected by the flooding, many of our friends and coworkers were. One of those close to us who was most affected was Vernon, a close friend and long time employee of United Record Pressing. Vernon, his wife and three children lost their home to the flood and didn't have flood insurance. You read that right, they lost their entire home.

We’ve created Vinyl For Vernon so that all of us who appreciate vinyl and/or use it to pay our bills can give back to someone who’s spent several years making the records you listen to.

If you can find it in your heart to donate or maybe buy one less record and put that money towards helping a great guy rebuild his life, it would mean so much to us and even more so to him. He needs to rebuild; from socks and shirts to walls and roof. He’s starting from scratch so anything you can do would be wonderful.

Here's how you can contribute:

You can mail a check payable to Vernon Mayton to:

Vinyl For Vernon
453 Chestnut Street
Nashville, TN 37203

If you're here in Nashville you can drop off a donation at United.

You can bid on special eBay items being auctioned.  Check back often as more items are still being added.

Or go to http://www.urpressing.com/Vinyl4Vernon.php

100% of all money gathered will go direct to Vernon.

Whether you're helping Vernon or helping Nashville via other means, your generosity is greatly appreciated.

I am Vernon's father-in-law and cannot even begin to express enough gratitude to the people at United Record Pressing who came to Vernon, Jacquie and the kid's rescue in their time of need. Thank you and God bless you all.
