All Vinyl is Pressed, Packed and Shipped Ahead of Schedule
Furnace MFG (www.furnacemfg.com/vinyl), the official vinyl pressing plant of Record Store Day (RSD), happily reports that all records for this year’s event were pressed, packed and shipped ahead of schedule.
“We KILLED that deadline!” said Eric Astor, President/CEO of Furnace MFG. “But, seriously, we are super excited about this year’s offerings and were honored to have worked with all of our great clients and their amazing projects. Judging from the year we’ve had so far, this Record Store Day looks to be the biggest one yet.”
Some of the highlights of this year’s pressing include:
The Black Keys “El Camino” - Deluxe 2 x 45rpm LP
Disturbed “The Collection” - 5 x LP Box Set
Mike Watt / Chuck Dukowski - Split 7”
Metallica “Beyond Magnetic” - 12”
Fleetwood Mac S/T – 33rpm and 2 x 45rpm LP Reissues
Tegan and Sara “Get Along” - Live LP
Phish “Junta” - 3 x LP Deluxe Reissue
Gary Clark Jr. “Presents HWU” - LP
Dale Earnhardt Jr. Jr. “We Almost Lost Detroit” - 12”
Various Artists “Three Lobed Records: Eight Trails, One Path” - LP
“Not all vinyl is equal, in fact there is a huge difference between good and not so good quality vinyl pressings,” said Astor. “And our claim to fame is that we manufacture the finest quality vinyl records on the market – quickly, and at a fair price to the artist”
This is the second straight year Furnace MFG has been asked to be the official pressing plant of Record Store Day, an event which celebrates the unique music culture found in over 1400 independently owned record stores in the USA and around the world. This year’s event is Saturday, April 21st.
“We selected Furnace MFG as our official manufacturing partner again this year because of their reputation for high quality manufacturing and fast turnaround times,” said Michael Kurtz, co-founder of Record Store Day. “Store owners value high-quality product that is released on time because this promotes strong sales and minimizes costly returns. Furnace is a favorite amongst participating Record Store Day labels because they always deliver on both fronts.”
