Small Plastic Songs Features Skullsquadron, Ya Aha, The Aerotrope Guild, Restless Leg

Small Plastic Songs’ is the first release from new boutique vinyl label Record Collective Limited and is an eclectic release featuring new singles from the forthcoming debut albums of four of Sydney’s most promising up and comers.

The four songs on the split ep share an ethos but little more, the result being a diverse, punchy compilation.

Side A features a sonic journey through 90’s inspired sound bending of Wind Shear by Skullsquadron, and an aggressive punk classic in waiting in How The Land Became Plastic by Ya Aha.

Side B features the ethereal down-tempo Time Speeds by The Aerotrope Guild, and the sunny jangle of Two Sides by Restless Leg.

The Record Collective Limited (RCL) exists because the music business is broken. RCL aims to facilitate boutique, short run releases made by and with cool bands and artists, and takes its inspiration from legendary DIY record labels like Merge, Flying Nun, Siltbreeze, and Half A Cow.
