Fans Can Vote For 2013 Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Nominees
For the first time in its history, the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame will offer fans the opportunity to officially participate in the induction selection process. Beginning today and continuing through December 5th, the public can cast votes for who they believe to be most deserving of induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. The top five artists, as selected by the public, will comprise a "fans’ ballot" that will be tallied along with the other ballots to choose the 2013 inductees.

The Smashing Pumpkins' career-defining 1995 double LP 'Mellon Collie & The Infinite Sadness' has earned Diamond certification by the RIAA for sales of 10,000,000 discs and digital equivalent per disc (5 million copies of the double album). They also benefit from Emi Music's extensive reissue campaign honoring their legacy with a vinyl resissue. It drops December 3 in North America and December 4 internationally.

It's called the WHFR Record Show, but this fifth annual event at Henry Ford Community College features more than just vinyl records. A social event for collectors and music lovers, the show draws vendors selling and trading CDs, videos and music and pop-culture memorabilia.

Fela’s Vinyl Box Set For Release
As activities to celebrate the life of the late Fela Anikulapo Kuti gather momentum, Knitting Factory Records is set to release the second of the long-awaited vinyl re-issues from the FELA KUTI catalog.
The brand new Vinyl Box Set, Showbiz Trends was curated by Fela’s friend and collaborator, Ginger Baker, and it will hit the streets on October 9th. The box contains six albums chosen by Baker, a frequent Fela collaborator. They are 'Live with Ginger Baker' (1971), 'Roforofo Fight' (1972), 'Confusion' (1974),' Alagbon Close' (1974), 'He Miss Road' (1975) and 'Na Poi' (1976).
Also to be included in the box will be 12-page full-colour booklet with an essay by Baker and album descriptions by the veteran British music journalist, Chris May

The Replacements Reunite For EP
The Replacements' Paul Westerberg and Tommy Stinson recently reunited to record a four-song EP to help pay guitarist Slim Dunlap's medical bills. The singer and bassist spent a day in a Minneapolis studio late last month to cut four cover songs that will be released as a limited-edition 10-inch vinyl.
250 copies of the EP will be auctioned online and the proceeds will be donated to Slim Dunlap, The Replacements' guitarist from 1987 to 1991, who had a severe stroke in February this year.
