Asia Argento - Total Entropy
"Total Entropy", out on Nuun Records, brings together for the first time on an album envisioned by the artist. Includes previous unreleased or limited edition collaborations by the likes of Tim Burgess, Toog, Antipop, Brian Molko and many others. Poetically direct, vital and glowing, between dream and madness, Total Entropy evokes the artist's impossible love or interrupted boredom and thirst for life. Alternating orchestral ballads, blues-rock, new wave experimental and minimal techno, including guitars and layered sounds and the deep and intense voice of Asia, Total Entropy is difficult to categorize and reveals a talented charming perspective, between dark and light.

We expect this item to be in stock on July 23, 2013

America - America

This debut album of America (1972) is considered as a folk-pop classic filled with a great collection of memorable songs that proves their influence on acts as The Eagles and Dan Fogelberg. Using vocal harmonies on "Sandman" and "Children and an intricate interplay of acoustic guitars is for the period of time highly ambitious. The hits of this album are ofcourse the widely known "A Horse With No Name", "I Need You" and again "Sandman". But also the buoyantly charming "Three Roses", the yearningly lovely "Rainy Day" and the quietly ringing "Clarice" make this album as one of their best and recommendable for any kind of music fan.  A classic to own and a stepping stone to into the world of folk-pop music.

Tim Buckley - Starsailor

On his first albums Tim was a gentle, melodic folk rocker but during the making of these albums he evolved into a downright experimental singer/songwriter exploring jazz and avant-garde. The result? Starsailor!

The album is a culmination of his experiments and with former Mother of Invention Bunk Gardner on sax and alto flute the story is complete. Surrealistic lyrics, heavy chords and unexpected twists make Starsailor a brilliant album that admittedly, isn't for everybody, but endures as one of the most legendary albums ever made by a singer/songwriter.
