The album was certified platinum by the RIAA. Following the release of the album, the band toured throughout the U.S., Europe, Australia, New Zealand and Japan.

Three singles were released from the album, “Weak and Powerless”, which topped both the Mainstream Rock Tracks and Modern Rock Tracks, followed by “The Outsider” and “Blue” which also charted on the respective charts.

SAM COOKE - HARLEM SQUARE CLUB, MIAMI, JAN 1963

Recorded in 1963 at Miami’s Harlem Square Club, this stunning live date from the great Sam Cooke went unreleased for years because his label thought it was too raw and raucous, a complaint that hardly seems fair today as this is now known as one of the great live albums of all-time. THE HOUSE OF THE DEVIL (Red Vinyl)

Death Waltz Recording Company are proud to present Jeff Grace’s score to THE HOUSE OF THE DEVIL, Ti West’s acclaimed shocker that homages and celebrates films from one of the true golden ages of horror cinema. Coming from the same kind of place as THE OMEN and ROSEMARY’S BABY, the film has a certain period aesthetic that is reflected in its brooding and slow-burning score. Whilst it starts with an electric guitar and synth piece that immediately sets the mood and the time, Grace’s score doesn’t immediately hit you over the head, instead building itself up over time and increasing intensity while always being absolutely unsettling.

The score begins in a minimalistic way, with delicate piano providing an eerie and foreboding presence. There are flashes of beauty amongst the sinister, with a solo violin providing a brief but exceptional moment of escape, but even that feels uncomfortable. Things start to heat up soon after, with the introduction of frantic strings to jolt you before Grace opens up with massive synths and insectoid violins in a glorious moment of musical confrontation, and from there on you’re in for a terrifying treat, with a final act that cements the score as a modern classic. This is a house you’ll want to return to again and again.

180g red vinyl housed in a heavyweight 350 GSM sleeve with sleevenotes by Jeff Grace. Comes with a poster of the cover art.

Vampyr - Death & Vanilla.

Very proud to have some of this to distribute through DW , One of the most beautiful re-scores we’ve ever heard and a stunning piece of music in it’s own right. The perfect record to listen to late at night with the lights out.

Psychedelic dreampop group Death and Vanilla, returns with their second release for Kalligrammofon, a 2 x vinyl-LP edition of Vampyr, a live recording capturing a semi-improvised performance made during the screening of Carl Theodor Dreyers classic horror movie Vampyr (1932) at Fantastisk Filmfestival in Lund 2012.09.23 (*D2: recorded during the “Vampyr”-rehearsals).Typically a duo, this particular recording finds the group fleshed out to a quintet with organs, glockenspiel, vibraphonette, moog, samples, bass, guitar and zither. The album is slow to unfurl and carefully executed, brilliantly evoking it’s grim subject matter and ominous tone.Originally released as a cassette on Moon Glyph in 2013, Kalligrammofon is proud to present Vampyr in a re-mastered and expanded edition featuring 9 minutes of previously unreleased rehearsal recordings.

One off repress of 299 copies on red vinyl comes with a 630×630 mm foldout poster artwork by Amanda de Frumiere.

'PRE-SALE' WARNING SIGN original soundtrack

 Red & White Splatter

Invada Records Proudly presents the release of a Synth-Heavy Score from one of the Industry's most Creative Composers; Craig Safan's music to the 1985 20th Century Fox Science Fiction Thriller.

Famous for his score to the timeless classic The Last Star Fighter, as well as A Nightmare on Elm Street, Part IV and (amazingly) the hit series Cheers!

Safan's film music is notable for its clever use of electronics, and Warning Sign is no different. Recorded using a Synclavier Synthesizer - an incredibly expensive piece of kit at the time - the score is fully electronic but no less effective than his orchestral work, and provides an entertaining and futuristic soundscape for the story of a man-made virus that is accidentally released into its laboratory, turning its workers into zombies.

Due to the science fiction and horror overtones, the Synclavier creates an appropriate atmosphere which Safan layers with different effects, from an electric piano that illustrates a desolate location in the film's early stages to the use of metallic effects as percussion for the chemically-affected staff. Safan weaves dissonant sounds to suggest chaos and paranoia, and innovatively synthesises human voices to convey a sense of tortured souls to those infected. What follows is an intense score where the foreboding turns to reality with an eerie and uncomfortable texture, broken only by a beautiful and warm melody for the resolution and end credits, where all is well.

Following on from dark and intense soundtracks such as Cliff Martinez's Drive, and Geoff Barrow and Ben Salisbury's DROKK, Invada Records presents Warning Sign in a new special edition that features an expanded version of Craig Safan's original 1985 LP program, along with 15 unreleased cues presented as bonus tracks.

The release features new artwork by Marc Bessant (Portishead / DROKK etc), liner notes by Craig Safan himself plus George Ginn (Legendary 84 year old owner of the UKs oldest soundtrack store ‘The Record Album’ ) presenting a comprehensive package befitting one of the scores that was an important part of the 80s craze of electronic film music.
  • 29 tracks of Synth heavyness over 2 pieces of vinyl
  • Includes 15 unreleased cues presented as bonus tracks
  • Liner notes by Craig Safan / George Ginn from Record Album (specialist soundtrack store)
  • Comes with download card

Usnea - Random Cosmic Violence

USNEA’s Relapse debut ‘Random Cosmic Violence’ is a 4 song masterpiece.  Blending the sounds of the doom forefathers like Disembowelment and My Dying Bride with the gritty sludge of High On Fire, USNEA have created a classic of the new millennium.  Pulsating with tribal intensity, ‘Random Cosmic Violence’ is one of those rare records that elevates itself above the boundaries that its genre typically self-imposes.  Yes, this is a mighty heavy piece of sludgey doom, but the musicality and songcraft exhibited throughout the entirety of ‘Random Cosmic Violence’ immediately place USNEA not just at the forefront of the blossoming American doom scene, but at the tops of heavy music altogether.
