Shock Radar announced on September 4th, 2012 that their highly anticipated new limited edition 10" vinyl record - "Live Like Lions" is now available for purchase exclusively at www.shockradarstore.com

Shock Radar is the experimental art rock project of NY songwriter, multi-instrumentalist and painter Lee J Diamond. He has worked as a session musician for members of The Verve, Stabbing Westward, and Black and The Slits. After touring and recording for acts like The Feud, Aerial Love Feed/Rockethouse, and Blood City, he is now giving life to his own material as a singer and composer.

“I had been collaborating with an extraordinary group of musicians, and wanted to bring a song (Live Like Lions) into the studio without them hearing it. So the ideas were fresh and spontaneous. The whole project came together like a jigsaw puzzle, under the sonic microscope of Emandee Studios’ head engineer Mark Ospovat. Lyrically, the song’s about living in the moment.”

Written by vocalist/guitarist Lee J Diamond, the title track “Live Like Lions” and companion piece “Generator” were Recorded at Emandee Studios by Mark Ospovat and Mastered at Sterling Sound by Steve Fallone with Art Design by Michael Zinn.

“Generator is a blend of many guitar styles and influences from Allan Holdsworth’s fusion to Tony Iommi’s riff-rock, but in essence, it’s a classic Shock Radar song with a lot of rhythmic changes, odd-tunings and a vocal choir.”

The eccentric artistic styling of Shock Radar’s ‘Post-Pop’ songs is fresh and unique. Born and raised in NY where he worked at several record stores till attending Boston's Berklee College of Music on scholarship, and further studying art and journalism at New School University, Lee J Diamond has climbed his way to the top of the city's music scene, simply doing what he does best, mixing and playing all styles from around the world.
